Hand crafted historically accurate swords for the serious collector, re-enactor as well as practitioner of European martial arts. All swords are authentic not only in outward appearance but also handling characteristics as well as methods of construction (eg. no welded on tangs or rat tail tangs). Most blades are forged from spring steel, vary in hardness from 49-52HRc and are available sharpened or unsharpened. Fittings are normally made of mild steel unless stated otherwise and most grips are made of beech, a type of wood that was traditionally used for the making of grips centuries ago and usually wrapped in leather. We also offer grip cores of oak. For certain swords that require a tough but aestheticly pleasing wooden grip you can choose from ebony and rosewood, to a vast range of exotic hardwoods. In the case of pole arms, the wood of choice is ash. The tang is peened to keep the entire hilt assembly tightly fixed. Blades as well as guards and pommels are available with the normal satin finish as well as an aged appearance. Additionally fittings can be blackened at no extra costs. Each sword is made to order and the waiting period is between 1 and 2 months before delivery. The concept page merely serves as a guide and we will also take fully custom projects, so feel free to mail us your concepts or pictures.
