"Nagasa" is the length of the cutting edge.
Only folded blades are given full traditional polishes.
The total cost of full mountings include: Ito, habaki, samegawa, tsuba, fuchi and kashira, menuki set, seppa set, shitodome for both
kashira and kurikata, kurikata, koiguchi, kojiri, sageo, wood for saya and
tsuka, lacquer work. The Metal fittings can either be made for the sword or
bought from another source.
Please take note that the pricing on any of the metal fittings will depend on the materials used as well as the intricacy of any carving and
inlaying if present (those containing shakudo, gold etc. will be more expensive).
